xiubio3I'm Ms Lee, the creator of The School of Artful Eating. I'm a secondary school Food & Consumer Education teacher but am currently on professional development leave to further my studies.

I have a passion for food, not just for how it tastes, but for how it is connected to culture, our environment and our health. I also really dig e-learning and think that ICT is one of the greatest tools for 21st century teaching. Hence the reason for this website, which aims to inspire Singaporean youths to go beyond the classroom and take a closer look at the subject of food.

In the not too distant future I hope to feature recipes, cooking videos, people who have chosen careers in food, urban gardening, articles on health, student work and all other manner of exciting food related news! If you'd like to be kept updated, just enter your name and email address below and hit the PINK 'Get Updates' button.

This website is also a place for courses and lessons on food & nutrition and food & consumer education subjects in secondary school.  In fact, the 'O' level Food & Nutrition Coursework lesson material is already available here. But it's only in BETA form at this point, so please bear with the recording, spelling and grammar errors!

[A paragraph for the teachers ~ If you're at this website and you're a FCE or F&N teacher and would like access to my lesson materials (lesson plans, games, etc.), they're going to be available on this site but you'll need to register here first with your iCON email address (so I know you're actually a teacher)! Once you register you'll also be automatically signed up for updates of when I put up new resources to this site. I'll also post once in a while about improving productivity and stuff like that. But if you'd rather not get emails from me, that's ok too, just drop me a note. I'm also looking to do collaborations (e.g. work on interesting lesson plans or materials, plan inter-school cooking competitions (think Junior Masterchef) etc. in future, so if that's something that might interest you, do let me know too!]

If you have any suggestions for this site, e.g. what you might like to see featured, or if you'd just like to drop a note to say 'hi', I'd really love to hear from you! You can email me at artfuleatingschool (at) gmail (dot) com, or use the contact form on this page.

Finally, if you'd like to be kept in the loop about interesting stuff on food, some of which I only share through email, simply enter your name and email address below.
