Like most of you guys out there, when I'm walking around or taking the bus and stuff like that, I've usually got my headphones on. People like to ask me what sort of music I listen to, but I find it awkward to answer because the thing is, I rarely listen to music. To be honest, I've been very geekily into PODCASTS for a while now. I love it because I get to listen to interviews of some rather interesting and unusual people. But recently I found the Heritage Radio Network and my podcast love has totally gone into overdrive!
The Heritage Radio Network is a US radio station and to quote them from their 'About Us' page
There is no network like the HeritageRadioNetwork.org. No one brings together food and culture content like we do....
HeritageRadioNetwork.org is committed to archiving, protecting, and advancing our country's rich food culture through programs that give voice to America's leading food professionals, farmers, policy experts, artists, and tastemakers.

Jamie Oliver has long been a hero of mine! He's been a champion of educating people about the importance of knowing what goes into their food. He's also all about giving families the skills and knowledge to cook real food again, which is something that I feel most food and consumer education teachers are about. So I'm proud to say that in a few weeks I will be volunteering with Jamie's Ministry of Food to teach basic cooking skills to adults. I'm REALLY excited about it and will keep you updated about the experience.
Something else which is coming up soon is Jamie's Food Revolution Day. In Singapore, the Food Revolution team will be organising an event at The Lawn, Biopolis Way. It sounds like it's going to be an exciting day with food photography, cooking demonstrations, specialty food purveyors and health care talks. If you're free on the day, why not head down to check it out?
Anyway, if you'd like to know more, you can follow the Singapore Food Revolution Team on Twitter @FoodRevSg or join their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/FoodRevolutionSingapore
I think this would be a great set-up to have at a school fun fair...
